The Hilton Anaheim

While not directly on Disney Resort property, this four-star hotel should definitely be on your list of places to stay if you’re planning on a budget. The Hilton Anaheim is an official Disney Good Neighbor hotel, a third-party, off-site resort approved by Disney for its quality, service, and proximity to the parks. The Hilton is a 10-minute drive to the Grand Plaza Line and a 23-minute walk to the Disney property.

The Hilton also provides shuttle services through Area Resort Transit, or ART. The bus runs daily from the Hilton to the parks, and vice versa. You can easily purchase tickets through their website or in the A-Way WeGo App. If you need to pay as you board the shuttle service, no worries. You can pay through Tap2Ride and take a seat!

For Disneyland transportation from the Hilton, the daily pass costs $6 per person. It’s so easy to use, and the drivers are helpful and kind. The shuttles typically run every 20 minutes to an hour, operating seven days a week from 6:30 am to 12:00 am. You won’t miss a moment of magic if you choose to shuttle to the parks.

Cleanliness: From the front doors to the bathrooms, this hotel was spick and span, not a dust bunny in sight. I stayed at this resort long before The Midnight Monorail came to be, so I don’t have pictures of the hotel room, but I do have pictures of the review (stay tuned). The room smelled fresh and was super tidy, including the bathroom space.

Service: The employees at this resort were top-notch. The employee at the front desk who helped check us in was respectful and kind. Our room service was great, and they left our room extremely clean, exactly as we found it when we first arrived.

Location: You are short walks away from dozens of dining options, directly adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center (making it perfect for the D23 Expo), less than a mile from Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and Downtown Disney, and nearby Angel Stadium.

Amenities and Facilities: The Hilton offers numerous amenities, including a spa, on-site restaurant, outdoor pool, fitness center, business center, meeting rooms, clothing store, Starbucks, and concierge services.

Cost: I booked a Queen room that slept two adults, with a beautiful view of DCA’s backlot. You could see the back of The Cadillac Range in California Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout!, Space Mountain, The Matterhorn, and Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. It was seriously such a magical view. If the fireworks hadn’t been cancelled that night, I would have had the most magical view of the show. This room with this kind of view can range anywhere from $211 - $267 per night.

Hotel Amenities with a Queen room include a Cuisinart coffeemaker, 65-inch HDTV, Crabtree and Evelyn(R) bath amenities, Mini refrigerator, LCD TV, Hairdryer, Iron, Ironing Board, and Air Conditioning.

The price is based on the time of year you plan your trip, whether you're traveling on weekends or weekdays, and how many are in your party.

Complaints: According to the Hilton website, a Queen-sized bedroom will sleep five people, and while that might be true, it certainly does not allow five people to get ready for the day in said room. I was with one other person, and the bathroom did not allow both of us to get ready for Disney at the same time. There was very little counter space for makeup, a straightener, and a hair dryer. And very limited space for two people to put on makeup at once. A small complaint, but definitely something to know before booking if bathroom space is important.

All in all, the Hilton Anaheim is a great place to stay and will only add to your magical vacation! Any questions about this resort? Comment down below!
